A week and more have passed and it seems longer than that. Not because things aren't going well but because baby Jeffy has settled in with ease so far. Gramma and A. TeTe helped out for the first week either taking Phi and Leroy or being here with them, which gave me a good head start for a speedy recovery. Jeffy did have some tummy troubles the first four days and I was afraid he was going to be our first colicy one. But after finally clearing his little system of meconium (those first tar like diapers) he totally relaxed and since then has been giving us 4 to 5 hours at night. Yay! The boys really seem to be enjoying him and still find what ever he's doing facinating.
Here's a few pictures from the first week.

Thanks for posting. Jeffy has already changed since we were there. Kate loves to look at the pics of him. She gets this look of awe and then this little smile creeps over her face and she just can't stop smiling and looking at the pics. Then she wants 'more, more'. Can't wait to see you all again in another week. So glad you are doing so great!
We're looking forward to seeing you too! Kate's gonna have soo much fun once her sister or brother gets here!
He's perfect, of course! The dimple is priceless. I had to laugh at your "around the house" post. What a classic example of nesting, and somehow the husband is always drawn into the experience...
Oh Sarah, another little sweety! He looks like a little cuddler. It is fun to see how creative kids can get when looking for entertainment around the house-especially when it is harmless fun. Wait until things happen like fingernail polish on the counters, deodrant drawn onto the piano, ink happy faces on the carpet and so on. You have probably had a few memorable experiences like that of your own already. Take a picture for memories sake so you can laugh about it later and remind them of their little mischeiveous moments.
DIMPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad he's being a good sleeper for you! Mine were always fussy for the first week or so and then they got better. Except Bret, of course! But I wouldn't say he was colicky, it just turned out to be reflux, which didn't get worse until he was 4 months old!
Oh what a doll. The DIMPLE! Oh. My. Gracious. ADORABLE! Smell his head and stick your nose in that sweet baby neck for me!
Love Phi standing on the rolling device at the sink. That's gonna backfire one of these days, but they all do it regardless. :-)
Okay. The dimple is perfect!
