One day at a time

Little A and Phi!
Things have been going well so far. Little A. has been a very good baby, sleeping at least 4 hours between feedings so Dad and Mom are getting their sleep too. Phi loves his little brother and is very interested in what he is doing. When A. was sleeping in a bunting with his bare piggies sticking out the open end Phi went and poke his little toes and giggled away when A. jerked them back inside. He still doesn't like it when A. cries and likes to get his binky for him or give him a hug (w/ Mom's help of course). His adjustment has been sharing Mom when A. has to nurse but I found if we sit down at his level where I'm still accessible to him he seems to feel included. We've been making adjustments and mostly just working on taking one day at a time. I like pictures so here's a few recent ones. Enjoy!

Welcome little one!!

Introducing Aaron Leroy
who arrived at 4:13 a.m. on the 21st
he weighed in at 7lb.s and was 20 1/4 inches long.

Just arrived!

We started labor at 3:30 wed. but were not sure it was for real. Just in case around 9:00 that evening we dropped big brother off at Grandpa and Grandma's house and after staying for a while decided we would head back home since nothing seemed to be progressing too fast. Once we got back to the house contractions suddenly picked up to 3-5 minutes, I called the hospital after a half hour and was told to wait for another hour and try to relax and take a bath. We waited another 45 min. and then decided to just go in and we would walk around the hospital if they wouldn't admit us yet. We called to let them know we were coming, when we arrived they hooked up the monitors for babies heart rate assessment and left it for an hour. At the end of the hour they finally checked and told us we were 3-4 cm.s so they would check in another hour and we should go walk around. I didn't feel up to walking and things seemed to be getting a little more intense so before the hour was up I asked my Love to go tell the nurse I'd like them to check again. She came in all calm and I had another contraction right then and at the end I unintentionally pushed, I told her and her eyes got big real quick and then she said, "I'll call the doctor" as she grabbed her cell phone. Needless to say we found out we were completely dilated and ready to go. The nurse was quickly putting in the IV and trying to hook up the antibiotics (which I was supposed to have for four hours prior to delivery) then she asked me to get up and walk to the delivery room. Right, I wasn't walking any where at that point, after being wheeled in and switched to the correct bed Aaron Leroy arrived about 5 minutes later to some very flustered doctors and nurses and a very thankful Dad and Mom. They did a good job any way just had to bypass a bit of their usual routine. So here are some more pic.s of our newest little man.
He's got tons of dark hair already needs a hair cut! :0)

Big brother meeting Little brother for the first time.

The first signs of Spring!!

This is the first color of Spring in our yard!! Little white Snow Drops, ( I think)
they're so dainty!

The rose bushes are also beginning to bud out,
along with our flowering cherry. And the first tulips
and mini daffodils are up in our pot on the deck. It
has been beautiful all weekend with clear skies the
only down side was a very strong wind. Yesterday
we got to take a walk with Kates and her mommy up
near their house since there was no wind there. Today
our wind was gone and we walked to work to meet
Daddy for lunch. It very much felt like spring! Little
man loves the out of doors so sat in the stroller and
hummed to himself and watch the scenery go by.
Close to the end when we got to
the paved path he got to get out to push his stroller and find some treasures
in form of rocks and sticks and sundry objects of great interest to one year olds. It sprinkled lightly this evening so we may be in for some more rain but sure enjoyed the sunshine while it was here!

Kates and Little Man ready to go!
It's a beautiful day!!

The fun part of the walk

If it's bigger then me and I can move it
then it's great fun!!
Verses for the day: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under heaven:
HE hath made everything beautiful in HIS time...

The Weaver

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves,
that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to
preserve life.
Genesis 45:5

And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS
purpose. What shall we say then to these things? If GOD be
for us who can be against us?
Romans 8:28,31

The Weaver

My life is but a weaving
between the Lord and me,
I cannot choose the colors
HE worketh steadily,
Oft times HE weaveth sorrow
and I in foolish pride
Forget HE sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
in the pattern HE has planned.

I don't know who the author is but have enjoyed this poem and it went well with my morning reading of Joseph and his brothers.

The silver pail

Wow a beautiful silver bucket...

...with nothing inside what shall we
do with it???

Oh boy, it's heavy...

I'll just put it on my head!

Playing with our food!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

We cooked dinner for each other at home.
While my Love stuck to the manly side
and cooked some
juicy and delicious steaks,

I had a grand time playing with the rest the meal!!

The result was:

Heart shaped baking powder biscuits,

heart shaped potatoes,
and some unromantic corn.

The finished product.

Add a little A1 and some martineliz cider and it was a delicious meal!

Verses for the day:

Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
S. of S. 2:13

Father, I will that they also,
whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am;
Jn. 17:24

...I will come again and receive you unto Myself:
that where I am there ye may be also.
Jn. 14:3

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise...
but is long suffering to us ward not willing that any should
perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

Doing dishes!!! This is fun!!!

UUMMMM! Chocolate!
There's not actually anything in the bowl.
On his face are left overs and
he found the bowl and spoon
in "his drawer" in the kitchen.

Straws are fun!!!

Verse of the day:
The Spirit itself beareth witness with with our spirit,
that we are the children of God:
and if children, then heirs of God
and
joint-heirs with Christ... Rom. 8:16,17

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Jesus Christ.
Gal. 3:26

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.
2 Cor. 9:15

My meditation of HIM shall be sweet...Ps. 104:34

A favorite of my photos.

And Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison...but the Lord was with Joseph....and that which he did the Lord made it to prosper. Gen. 39: 20,21,23

I was reading in Genesis 39 this morning and then found this poem that I had saved some time ago. As we go through each day I was thinking recently of how much we short ourselves and the LORD by not trusting HIM. Trusting that HE knows best and moves all circumstances for our good and blessing though to us it is not always apparent immediately, as in Joseph's case.

Between the circumstance and me a Father's loving hand,
Is working all things for my good- All moves at His command.

Between the circumstance and me a Father's loving heart,
Knows all the problems of the path, and bears a Father's part.

Between the circumstance and me, a Father's holy will,
Is over-ruling everything, with wisdom and with skill.

Behold the Saviour on the cross, in deepest agony,
Who suffered to atone for sin, in love for you and me.

The Love that held Him to that cross, to suffer and to die,
That love remains the same today, and hears His people's cry.

The power that raised Him from the dead, that resurrection power,
Is working for His people's good, each moment and each hour.

O why be burdened then with care? The love that set me free,
Such love is evermore between the circumstance and me.

And when above the circumstance, we see God's hand and ways,
In comfort, peace and blessing gives a cause for endless praise.

Well here we are...

I have been reading blogs for at least a year now kept telling myself I didn't have time for one. But you make it look so fun and it is also a great way to remember everyday happenings later. So here we are!
